Flower

Flower

Insert a new layer.

Go to Tools and select Shapes...

Go to the options bar and change the shape type to Gear.

Change the fill type to Fill Only.

Set your primary color for your flower to red/pink/purple/orange.

Draw your gear quite big to start.

Now go to Effects > Noise > Median ...

Play with the Radius slider until your gears are curved like this...

Select the Move tool, then click on the canvas and drag in the corners to make the flower about this size.

CTRL+D to deselect (get rid out dotted outline).

Double-click on the layer name and change it to "flower".

Go to Effects > Photo > Vignette... move the center arrows above the flower so you get darker edges near the bottom.

Now add Effects > Photo > Glow ... and reduce Brightness a bit.

Save your file - make sure it's PDN.

Center of flower

Change your primary color to something else.

Insert a new layer and rename it "center".

Change the Shape tool to the Ellipse shape.

Draw a circle in the middle, covering the empty hole.

Go to Effects>Blurs>Fragment... increase the Distance slider a bit.

Layers so far...

Stem & Leaves

Insert a new layer and rename it "stem".

Change your primary color to green.

Select the Line/Curve Tool, and in the options bar, change the thickness to 30.


Start by dragging out a straight line... then push/pull circles to create curves. When you're done, click off to set the shape.


To draw the leaves, change the Shape tool to the Heart shape...

Drag out a heart - move/rotate it so it fits over the stem.

Go to Effects > Photo > Vignette... and bring the center so it's a bit darker along the right side...

Go to Effects > Photo > Glow ...

Then drag the stem and leaves layers under the flower layers so they're behind.


Dirt

Add a new layer (above stem or leaves). Rename it "dirt".

Change the primary color to brown. 

Select the Brush tool. Set the thickness to 100 and hardness 100%.


Draw a bumpy area filling the bottom like this...

Go to Effects>Distort>Crystalize... leave the default settings.

sky

Select the Background layer.

Set your color to blue.

Select the Gradient Tool.

Click and drag straight down...

If you are happy with it, click on another layer/tool to set the gradient.

Clouds

Add a new layer at the top and rename it 'clouds'.

Make sure your colors are set to default (black & white).

Then go to Effects > Render > Clouds - default settings.

Go to Effects > Artistic > Oil Painting ... and slide the Brush size to the right.

Double-click on the clouds layer to open up the layer properties... 

Change blend mode to Overlay
