Animations: Lists

Step 1: Animate the Text

For each slide with list(s), click in each text box with a list/bullets (don't select any words, just have the cursor blinking in the box somewhere), and add animation (any green Entrance). You'll now see numbers beside the bullets/list items.

Animation pane

Show the Animation Pane...

Lists are collapsed...

Click on the downward arrows to expand the list(s)...

Right-click on any animation and Hide Advanced Timeline...

Now you'll see the mouse icon for animations that are "On click".

Step 2: Animate the Pictures

Select all pictures on the slide. Add any kind of green/Entrance animation.

With the picture animations still highlighted, change Start to "With Previous".

Now your animation list looks like this:

  • all bullets "On Click"
  • all pictures "With Previous"

Step 3: Picture with matching bullet

All the pictures have the same number as the last bullet. We need to change the order...

Click on the first picture on the slide. It will be highlighted in the Animation Pane. You will click and drag this up to go under the matching bullet.

Repeat for the other picture(s) on the slide. You should see the numbers matching the bullets on the slide...

If you have a slide with more pictures, it might look like this...

For your birthday slide, animate the bullets, and the pictures for the people, but not the birthday clip art.

If you have slide with two lists, it'll look like this...

If you have two lists with more than 2 pictures, it will look like this...
